We have a purpose-built state-of-the-art Mobile Testing Unit which stays on-site for the duration of the Hearing Tests.  It is equipped with an Audiometric testing booth and our Audiometric testing equipment is calibrated annually to the highest standards. Each test is carried out on-site by a qualified (certified to BSA standards) and experienced screening technician.

We have been using these mobile testing units in various industries and locations for audiometric testing since 1996. They are easy to locate and manoeuvre on-site in order to avail of the most suitable testing location.

With a minimum of down-time, each mobile screening test takes approximately 10-15 minutes and one person is tested at a time.  We can cater for all shift patterns – usually we will set up the Hearing Test Schedule in conjunction with the client company.  Depending on the exact breakdown of the shifts, we should test an average of 30 staff per day, based on an 8-hour working day. These numbers can vary depending on the scheduling, absenteeism of employees etc. No numbers are too large (or too small) for the testing.

It is also recommended (but not compulsory) that people avoid noise exposure 24 hours BEFORE THE TEST, or at least make sure they have worn hearing protection during any noise exposure beforehand. Although this information is recorded and taken into account as part of the test, it may influence the readings.
